Bn Freedom Caboose

Greetings,

I just bought an Atlas HO Freedom caboose in the Burlington Northern roadname.

Any info on these? When did Atlas offer them and how rare are they now?

Anyone else out there have one too?

Thanks,

Atlas came out with their International Wide Vision Caboose Kit in 1997. It stayed in production for three years, and only this year has that particular Item been dropped from the Walthers Catalog for epension of inventory. In the Meantime, Atlas has released the very similer Internation Extended Vision Caboose, which has the cupola on the top that does not overhange on the sides. These cars are still pretty common and hundreds can be found on E-bay, and even out here in Lonly Wyoming where there are two places in the entire state to aquire model railroad items, Both Places still have it in stock.

As for the specific Rarity of the BN Freedom Caboose, I do not know. But I am not that concerned about it, Microscale makes the decals, so I can make my own if I wish.

Greetings,

I found a new one on EBAY that I bought for 15 bucks which I thought was a good deal.

As a BN modeler I think it will make a nice addition to my cabooses.

What Era BN do you Model?

I also model BN circa 1976 in HO and 1985 in Gauge III 1/24.
