Recently BNSF 403372, a 3 bay ACF centerflow hopper, has been spotted painted in BN green with BNSF’s swoosh logo. Though BNSF has painted covered hoppers cascade green in the past with the older-style circle and cross logo, I assumed it was to use up remaining BN paint. It’s always been older covered hoppers too. I’ve never seen a BNSF trinity in cascade green either.

I like the BN cascade green, not as much as PC’s green though, but I do like it. I absolutely despise the graffiti - ignorant garbage. I wonder what the going punishment is for vandalizing railroad property like that? Of course there’d be a trespassing charge tacked-on. Anybody know what graffiti bums are getting for sentences these days?
This shade of BNSF Cascade Green is brighter and better than the older BN Cascade Green.
Could this BNSF ACF Center Flow Hopper have been painted in 1997 or 1998 without the logo?
Could the BNSF Swoosh Logo have been applied to the blank space in 2005?
It would have been best if the BNSF Covered Hoppers had all been painted BNSF Casade Green.

LIONEL Trains announced similar BNSF ACF Covered Hoppers in their 2008 catalog.

Now I have to suggest that they make a single BNSF Center Flow in Cascade Green.

Looks to me this is an older hopper car based on the “BNSF” letters on the reporting mark. Either this car didn’t have a logo before, or they patched over it with a new one. Nevertheless, I like it. A little better than brown!

I don’t recall anyone saying anything about “Back in my day…”. Interesting how you try to justify defacing railroad property with, as I said, ignorant garbage, by some sort of tie-in to racial discrimination. Gee - that sure explains it all. Sorry, Aristotle, crime is still crime, vandalism is still vandalism, and ignorance is still ignorance. And just to complete the story, I never ordered anyone of any skin color to sit in the back of anyplace, nor would I had it been in my authority. Your justifying ignorant behavior now by some past injustices proves my charge of ignorance.

LOL, you know i might just check over there occasionally and mess with those “old farts”. Funny thing I used to hand draw graffiti on my models with those thin tip pens, never used decals.
I agree with wut your sayin, on every forum these guys are all the same, they scream and scream about how the world used to be perfect when in actuality its the same screwed up world but they cant tolerate it. They wish death on the graffiti artists and all who support it. Scream its illegal! its illegal! it sure is, but i dont care, illegal doesnt mean a thing to me. By the looks of every BNSF and UP freight that passes theres a heck of alot more people who dont care either.
I cant wait for a response to this…
I like the “Cascade Green” scheme. I’ve enjoyed seeing it on the locomotives and on this railcar!!
BNSF could make a consistent color code their cars.
Red for Boxcars
Cascade Green for Covered Hoppers
Black for Gondolas
Orange for Open-Top Hoppers
Yellow for Flat Cars and Auto Carriers

Wow! I love it! I wonder what one of the new AC motors would look like with the cascade green paint swoosh scheme? (or an SD70MAC)
