BNSF Center Flow Hoppers

Guys,

I have a bunch of Athearn Blue Box Center Flow Hoppers that I want to paint in BNSF. I’ve seen some photos of the real guys and I’m guessing that BNSF repainted most of these in the brown.

What brown should I use to paint them up in?

I like using Floquil paints

I’m thinking of doing them in the harold, not the swoosh, so does anyone know what Microscale decals to use?

I am not sure on the floquil color to use, but the testors paints I mix for this color are 5 parts rust to two parts red. and this gives a color very close to what BNSF has painted on their cars. You shouldn’t have any problem with the Testor’s paints as Testor’s owns floquil and the two brands are compatible.

I am not sure on Decals.
