BNSF GP60B???

Someone mentioned 4 axle units on Q racetrack Intermodal trains. Assuming I don’t need my eyes checked, I spotted a BNSF GP60B on an eastbound double stack yesterday afternoon(lettered on the frame). I thought B units pretty much ended with the GP30B’s. Is it a rebuild of some kind? There can’t be too many of these?

ATSF had 23 of them built new during 1991.

Yep, theyre still around.

They are definitely still around and some have been painted in BNSF colors. On the way to work today, I spotted GP60B 332 with B40-8 8605 (also in BNSF colors) just east of Corwith.

Heck in the early 90’s we used to see Gp60M’s 3gp 60B’s and then another M in the typical abbba set up

We see members of the BNSF GP60B fleet here at Eola with some regularity.

Caught one a couple weeks ago. It’s tough to see, but behind the lead GP60M is a GP60B. And I’d agree, they show up more than you’d think… (follow the link for a full size image)
