Good Day,
Have all the BNSF Heritage Hoppers been painted that represent these railroads Santa Fe; Frisco; Burlington Northern; Great Northern; Northern Pacific; Spokane, Portland & Seattle; Chicago, Burlington & Quincy; Fort Worth & Denver; and Colorado & Southern?
It was my understanding there were going to be three Heritage hoppers painted per road name. Is this correct? Are they all painted?
Regards,
Swafford
Sounds like wishful thinking. What is the source of this story.
Here is another link of some of the BNSF Heritage Hoppers.

Mr. Swafford ( Frisco West) : Thanks for sharing ther links to the ‘BNSF Heritage Grain Hoppers’ [:-^]
First I’d heard of these Heritage Hoper cars… I monitor a Yahoo Group that Covers a lot of the former Frisco’s Territory ( the group is called arksmook ) That is for arkansas, kansas, missouri and, oklahoma. Out her in Central Kansas many of the grain moves on the BNSF T-Con are unit moves with the conventional style 4 drop hoppers and of course, the all BNSF cylindrical hoppers/ Grain Worms, pretty much shuttle train moves.
You might check out that Yahoo Group. They may be of interest to you and get answers for your Frisco Questions.
One of my Facebook railfan friends posted a pic of a hopper with coonskin logo on it that was supposed to be part of a heritage hoppers group. It was spotted in AR near the A&M RR. I didn’t know they were painting that many or even knew about it, until he posted it. I am always getting tagged in anything that has to do with Frisco, because of my family background. I have not seen any around St. Louis area.
Sunnyland, Can you find the Facebook picture and post it on the forum?
Regards,
Swafford
Sunnyland, One of the SP&S cars came down the K line a few weeks ago. I work at Lindenwood yard and haven’t seen any. In response to the original post, yes. The will be 3 for every railroad. I’ve seen pictures if quite a few, yet to see ATSF though. Not sure if they are done painting them. I wish they were a little more exciting but, nice paint doesn’t pay the bills.
