BNSF Question about Ore Trains

Hello,
I just came back from Glaesburg and I saw one ore train and another in Rochelle due to a closed line from Savannah, Illinois to Galesburg and I was wondering whre do they go? If some one could answer that would help

Steel Mills? Alcoa Plants if it is bauxite? They’re going to heavy-industry land, that’s for sure.

I believe there’s still a steel mill in Granite City Il across the river from St. Louis, which might be the destination.

I think it was bauxite becuase it was too light in color for ironore

If the Alcoa trains I see are any indication, bauxite will be in covered hoppers (baux cars?). What comes up our way is rather powdery.
