HOW ARE THEY ADDRESSING THE STREET CROSSINGS.
ANY BEING CLOSED?
I was traveling this street in 1982 on a bitterly cold night when my rental car died on the tracks, just as I noticed a headlight a few blocks away. As I prepared to remove my possessions before the inevitable a postal worker came by and helped me push it to the curb. He also let me stay warm in the post office while I awaited a taxi back to the hotel. I hitched a ride with a fellow employee back to Denver the next morning. Hertz was left with the keys and directions on where to find the car.
ah yes; i recall riding a solid-pullman passenger train over that track with a 2-10-2 providing the power! that was back in '58.
You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours, goes the saying. It must be working for Fort Collins and BNSF. Great. A bit of cooperation can go a long way. Politicians should give it a try, they might like it.
Great stories guys!
