Well, BNSF is at it again. BNSF 6485, a recently repainted SD45-2-turned-SD40-2R, is now BNSF 7950. I guess this means only one thing, a future order for more GEs?
Yup, the SD45-2’s are part of BNSF’s re-numbering project that was announced last year in TRAINS.
That’s one neat locomotive…looks almost as long as the SD50 behind it!
If they have to stick with a paint scheme, perhaps the managment should stick with this one for a while.

I still love the Super Chief color theme. They should take the BN and leave it as Santa Fe.
