Forget it. It was a joke. It wasn’t that funny.

Someone had photo shopped a picture of a locomotive made to look like a auto that had been stripped. It is up on blocks with the trucks removed. It’s a BNSF locomotive with the title “Train left overnight in Chicago.”

My title suggested that the BNSF made a mistake by leaving it sit in Chicago overnight.

My bad. I apologize.

That’s been on Face Book for a while now.

Our time has value, y’know. This had absolutely nothing to do with trains, other than lame humor.

The Erie-Lackawanna Chicago story in the Autumn Classic Trains says what you wanted your picture to say and says it loud and clear.

But let us face it, that is a very small part of the Chicago population and neighborhoods. I wonder what the railroad, probably CSX, does agout the problem today.

It Would have been more convincing if they’d left the eyes off it…

PIcture posting tip:

  • Upload your digital picture(s) to a photo hosting service such as PhotoBucket. I won’t mention a few of the larger services as they are >3X as annoying as PB. Google Docs also can be used, but the links are ridiculously ginormous. Some of us don’t use Facebook, and navigation for non-users is infuriating.

  • Provide the direct link from the above service in your forum post.
