Roseville Foamer, Thanks, technicaly those photos leave a lot to be desired, but this train took me by suprise and I’m lucky I got them at all. I was in Westwood when I spotted it and raced to Clear Creek to get ahead (7? miles) where I just had enough time to get composed. I just wish I would have parked out of the way.
Al, I don’t know about the origin of that car (William Barstow Strong) but I have had quite a few encounters with this car this year. Last Oct. in Merced, twice in Needles this summer, once in Cajon, once between Barstow and Mojave and yesterday here.
