BNSF to reopen Transcon in Arizona on Monday
Local reports stated that it was caused by a boulder/rock slide onto the tracks. Considering the heavy rain and snow fall with high winds in the last 48 hours this would seem plausible. Amtrak passengers on #3 and #4 were bused between Flagstaff and Kingman last night and today. All this was in addition to an eastbound stack train hitting a van at a crossing in Flagstaff yesterday morning. One person was transported from the van to the hospital, no other injuries.
