Anyone driving a vehicle should have the common sense to check tire pressure, oil, lights, and a few other basic “things” before using the vehicle. This doesn’t have to be done every time one uses a vehicle but at least once in 25,000 miles isn’t too much to ask.
If you don’t want to pay $20 at Jiffy Lube…it’s one bolt to drain and one cap to fill, and a threaded filter to remove and replace. Check manual for amount of oil.
Sounds like it’s time to start a budget. i know you have a job. Hopefully you still have the means to get to work; consider this a learning experience!

Anybody stupid enough to get himself into the kind of trouble described above has barely enough brains to eat, sleep and “eliminate waste” let alone maintaining a piece of machinery. “WHAT YOU GONNA DO WHEN THEY COME FOR YOU, BAD BOYS, BAD BOYS”.
