BNSF's Chicago to LA Transcon line

Would anyone know how many trains operate on the BNSF’s Emporia Sub. in Kansas in 24 hours.

This line seems to be at it’s capacity. It is single track and located on the BNSF Chicago to LA transcon line. But I am not sure. Does anyone know?

Well between the Wellington pool and some trains that come off the Arkansas city pool. I would have to say around 80 trains a day give or take in a 24 hour period.

The dispatching simulator that I use for the Emporia Sub (created by Fred Frailey) using real train movements from Sept 17-23, 2000 has @80-85 trains including some moves over secondary mains. Is it still single track between E Eldorado and Ellinor?

Yes, It is still single track. All 44 miles of it with six closely spaced sidings.

emporia sub to recieve double track from cicero to mulvane shortly, working on it as we speak, they use ark city sub from mulvane to newton and la junta sub from newton to ellinor as the east bound double track and emporia sub between ellinor and mulvane as west bound double track so two main lines going same place is the double track for the terriotory although west and east bound trains do frequent each way, most of the time they run east on one side west on the other side
