Boley Vehicles to be Re-released under Scene Master?

Reading on RMWeb (British model railway site) today that Walthers will be releasing some Boley Vehicles under the Scenemaster name.

This example from the Walthers catalog seems to back this theory up. (The RMWeb example was the school bus).

Not sure what’'s up, their HO scale website is still up but it may be a zombie. Anyone have any further info about this?

There was a post sometime ago that “Boley” was going out of business as soon as their inventory was sold. It wouldn’t surprise me if Walthers took over Boley, which is good for our hobby. I like Boley vehicles and have a bunch.

When they had the fire sale on the Boley HO vehicles, you could find on e-bay numerous adds selling packs of Boley vehicles for around $2-$3 each. I picked up a few packs but the trucks were just too new for my layout so I traded them straight across for a bunch of HO mini metals straight across. Wish I had bought more Boley’s to trade.

Update: This morning I came across this on the 1-87 Vehicle club site which indeed confirms that Walthers is offering the Boley vehicles under the Scenemasters brand.

I notice they seem to have only licensed the International models, as of now they don’t seem to be offering the GMC’s or Fords models that Boley used to.
