Boley ?

Has any one got any of the Boley Military equipment or fire trucks the prices look to good to believe on the military equipment and what do you think?

Jeez,
I probably have about 20 of the Navistar Boleys, three of them are fire trucks. I don’t have any military trucks.

I think these are the best bang for the buck trucks on the market. The detail is pretty good and they have a large variety of bodies. I have to discipline myself to stop buying them because I think I have too many - then they go and come up w/ a new version that I gotta have like the crew cab dump truck.

They are supposed to be making the Kenworth T-2000 and a Peterbilt (379 I believe). The T-2000 is all that I’m waiting for.

Go for it.

Boley also makes a very good line of farm equipment. One can quibble about packaging and details and scale fidelity – some of their stuff is generic and not to a particular prototype – but you cannot beat the prices and some dealers offer discounts in addition. They have a lowboy trailer that is definitely worth the money

I was pretty impressed with the fire truck that I got. After I got it home and looked at it closer, I noticed that the entire backend came off. I thought that was pretty nice for anyone that wanted to use these for kitbashing. So that’s what I did, I am in the process of turning it into a RR work truck.
Some of their other stuff looks pretty good too.

I’m kitbashing the fire truck because I needed the crew cab for my work truck and I haven’t been able to find any other decent models. Plus I got a pretty good deal on it and I figure when I need an actual fire truck I can always go and get another one.

Does anyone have the website to where you can see this stuff? Thanks.

Paul - why bahe fire truck - down here they gor for $7-8 while the ones with the van body are $5-6, heck the cement mixer here is less than $4. Why not bahose? It’ll be cheaper - plus you can’t get any other comparable fire equpment it seems for less than $20-30.

I just found Boiey’s websuite www.boleycorp.com then go to dept.1-87 It covers all kind of great stuff in H.O. ternan92

They seem to have their links messed up off the home page the 1-87 page is http://www.boleycorp.com/1-87/index.html

Don’t overlook the “emergency” and “euro” sections of their 1:87 site. There are more usable things there than I expected to see. I just wi***he local hobby shop would carry more of their line.
