As a member of a union for 17 yrs I haven’t gotten so much as a sticker to put on my toolbox, the union don’t g.a.f. about its members!
They will do what EMD did in London, pack it up and moved to a union free state ala Muncie and what GE did when they moved to Texas, the Union is screwin its members NOT the members screwing the employer.

Feel free to get out of the union Britt. It’s obvious you haven’t a clue what unions have accomplished for you and every working man and woman in this and many countries around the world. I’d like to hear you cry about the way you’d be payed and treated without a union to cover your butt. Go on and whine about not getting a little sticker to put on your lunch box. You wouldn’t be getting a lunch break if it weren’t for the unions you hate so much. Why the hell are you in the union if you don’t appreciate it? And don’t give me that crap about there was a time and place for unions. There is a direct correlation between a downturn in union membership and a drop in the middle class standard of living. Hey I gotta idea. Why don’t you go down to WalMart and get yourself one of those good paying non union jobs. They hate unions too and you’ll be right at home. I’m 28 years IBEW and damn proud of it!
There will be more jobs leaving Ontario If the Unions aren’t careful.
BYE BYE JOBS
JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THEY GO SOUTH OR SOUTH OF SOUTH
FOOLS AND THEIR…ARE SOON PARTED…UNIONS ARE FAST BECOMING A THING OF THE PAST…
…IS THERE A MR.REGAN OUT THERE…UNIONS ARE OVER EXCEPT THE GOVERNMENT ONES BECAUSE THE POLITICIANS DO NOT HAVE ANY GUTS OR A LOT ELSE…
Prediction: In two or three years Trains will run a story about how this facility was shuttered and production moved to Mexico. Not necessarily the most ethical thing to do but so it goes.
No risk of the work moving out of the Province. A Liberal majority government was elected in June, and the Liberals are tied to the big unions. The unions have a front called Working Families of Ontario that pours millions into nasty anti-Conservative advertising leaving the Liberals to spend their regulated election funds on the happy face, pie in the sky stuff. The Province funds GO transit which buys the double decker commuter cars from Bombardier. Bombardier is currently supplying new streetcars for Toronto and guess where some of that money comes from? Do you still think there is a risk of closure?
To the gentleman across from me in sweet home Alabama: Get a grip and wake up.
