Book on One-of-a-kind and two-of-a-kind Paint schemes

I am thinking about writing a book on special paint schemes from 1970-2006.
would anyone buy a book like this, and should I persue this book? Any information and pictures would be a great help to me.

Some of the topics covered would be:

1.)Bicentinel Locomotives of Major Railroads
2.)Olympic Units
3.)UP Heritage units
4.)Merger prototype schemes
5.)United Way/Commeritve Units
6.)Paint Scheme and Lettering Goof’s
7.)Expierimental Paint Schemes
and maybe
8.) Demo Paint Schemes
would this book be good for a model railroader?

LV with its mostly red, some white (repainted red), some yellow and blue (repainted red) painted a GP9 and RS3 in a goofy yellow and brown.

During the bicentennial,I recall reading ads for an upcoming all color book that would show all of the railroads bicentennial paint schemes. The book was never produced for some reason[:(].

LV would have its own book.So would Rock Island and New Haven![:D][:p]

Make sure to include Maersk, and Barfbonnet.

Barfbonnet??

If I were to do this book, would you guys help out with photos and information?

Barfbonnet was the BNSF tring the green and cream from the SD70MAC’s as a warbonnet paint scheme.

that book would be awsome, from a canadian prespective would it be all US stuff or canadian and US? I could shurley help on the canadian side of things.

If such a book were available, I’d buy it. Don’t forget to include BNSF’s variations on the orange and green, and D & H’s various substitutes for their classy blue and grey with the yellow lightning stripe.

Would that include special numbered units, such as the Chessie 1977 for the B&O susquitennial?
How about Steam specials, chessie, AFT, stuff like that?
I think that TRP did, or is doing a book on the bicentennials.
