Books for learning/refreshing electrical knowledge?

Alright, it’s been a long, LONG time since I played with electricity. (Got my start sticking keys in a security socket in a bank when I was four.) So I’ve forgotten a helluva lot of information and really need to relearn a lot of this. So what books are out there that will help me get back up to speed? Especially for someone like me who has an engineering and computer science background.

Practical Electronics For Inventors by Schertz.
Available on Amazon.com used for about $15. A good book for someone familiar with electronics, practical but not overly technical. Got some good ideas reading his book.

Peter Riddle’s books, ordered from Kalmbach (volumes 1&2), are excellent as well.

I highly reccomend also, R.D.Teals book called Modern Toy Train Repair and Maintenance. It’s put out by Kalmback. Covers some stuff on the new circuit boards & Railsounds & Proto Sounds. I got mine on E-bay, though. Lots of info on smoke units, too.

Thanks, John
