Would anyone here be able to give me some information on this B&M insignia? It’s on a Bachmann boxcar I have, but I’ve never found an example of it while searching through prototype photos online. Is it an early example? I’m assuming it is authentic. Any replies would be very much appreciated.

I think it’s a mid-50s boxcar scheme, from the McGinness era. I vaguely remember seeing a picture of the real thing years ago, but can’t remember where. I know Champ used to make decals for this car. Hopefully someone else can give you more/better info.

If i’m interpreting things correctly, it looks like the build date printed on the boxcar is July '42, so that would tie in with the age you suggested. Highball Graphics do lots of New England decals, but they don’t stock this one.
