In New York City the Bronx Botanic Garden has had a holiday display for a few years. It’s been very successful.
The Brookklyn Botanic Garden started a small Garden Railway display inside one of its buildings and the first year had added groups with displays. The main display continues.
It was amazing to watch the smaller children get totally wrapped up in watching the trains go arould.
If there’s a Botanic Garden nearby and you’re a member you might suggest a display for the holidays. Suggest it even if you’re not a member!
Anybody know of other Botanic Gardens with holiday displays?

WALTER:YO.,not a garden put a nursery(5 CORNERS NURSERY ) HAS A winter display (ALL LGB),THAT THEY SET UP EVERY XMAS,starting right after turkey-day and going till 1st of next year=LOCATION:177 TH ST. AND 1ST AVE SOUTH,BURIEN WASHINGTON,I GUESS THEY ALSO HAVE OUTDOOR GARDEN RAILROAD IN SUMMER TIME,HAVENT SEEN THAT AS YET,BUT WAS TOLD BY OWNER HE HAD TO USE BRIDGE,FROM OUTDOOR TO COMPLETE WINTER LAYOUT(WHICH BY THE WAY)IS INDOORS,RUNNING 4 TRAINS.===HUB
The Chicago Botanical Gardens located in Glencoe, Illinois had a large garden layout set up this last summer. I have heard that it was so popular that they planning a new one for the summer of 2001.
