Bowser's N-8 class cabooses: How well do they track?

Anyone that has bought any of Bowser’s PRR N-8 class cabooses, can they tell me how well do they track on layouts? Do they weigh enough or do they need any weighting down? I have heard they are pretty good and the wheelbase is correct, which can not be said the same for Walthers cabooses which need the correctly spaced wheelbase.

I added weight to mine and metal wheels. I put a undershank kaydee on the train end.

They are favorites.

I did exactly the same as HighIron with good results.

They’re good little cabeese. I got one to keep my J1 happy while it’s pulling WWII manifest freights on my Yuba River Sub. I added a little weight and replaced the wheelsets with P2k’s, and it seems to be enjoying itself. And it obviously has met with Spooky’s approval, she kidnapped it once.

how much weight do you add to the N-8 caboose, and from what company do you get the metal wheelsets from?

I think the caboose came out to just over 2 ounces assembled. I increased it to 3 ounces with pennies on the metal floor. (Very hard to see in the windows anyways)

Metal wheels came from P2k 33" flat back style. That’s how I did mine.

I use it to keep my J1 and M1a happy.
