I am going to paint a boxcar as part of the Lazy Llama project. How would you go about removing the paint laready on it?
Before you get an answer on that you’ve got to explain what the Lazy Llama project is. [?]
Seriously, the best way to remove paint is going to depend on the paint and what it’s on. Assuming a typical styrene box car, check out the methods mentioned in another current topic (“Removeing paint from polystyrene”).
Also, I’m about to try ScaleCoat’s Paint Remover on several cabooses. This was recommended to me by my LHS but I haven’t gotten around to actually doing it yet.

So far, I’ve been pretty successful with just using 91% alcohol. Just let it soak a little bit, and use an old (or unwanted) toothbru***o get into the crevices. Works really well and doesn’t seem to eat the plastic at all.
Ok thanks!
So what’s this Lazy Llama project?
