That’s still one of the best articles I’ve ever read. It convinced young me that “operations” was what I wanted to do in this hobby, and by golly it was right!
I think Kalmbach should make it available as a PDF download for free. It would be a great promotion for operations.
Michael,Being a brakeman I found that article interesting enough if I overlooked the operation, safety, and Union work rule infractions and with that said I agree it should be a free PDF download for budding operators.
I have to say, that’s probably the article that first got me interested in actually operating as well.
