Looing for instructions on how to make brick paper using Micro Soft Word. It was in an article this summer, I believe in MR.
I found some sample pictures of brick paper on a Web site. I right-clicked on the picture, and saved the picture on my hard drive. Then, I opened up Word and chose Insert-Picture-From File, and added in the picture. I did this several times until I had a page of brick paper.
I’m using this for the interior of a roundhouse. It’s OK for an application like that, where it’s not terribly visible. Real brick paper - the higher end stuff - might have some actual texture and would be more suited to an exterior of a building. I tried using a different pattern for the walls of my subway station, and I was dissappointed in the results. For that, I went to hydrocal castings.
From MS-Word - go to FORMAT - BACKGROUND - FILL EFFECTS - PATTERN.
You can change the brick color, the color of the morter, etc… I saw this in a clinica at the NMRA National this summer - Very nice brick buildings!
