Does anyone know how to hook a can motor up to a bridge rectifier. I need to know which wires go where with possible lame man’s terms.
Kevin,
PM Bob Nelson,
He gave me a part number last year from radio shack and all you do is hook the AC to the ends and then the DC to the center + & - and if it runs the wrong way just switch the DC.

Hey I found the package. It is radio shack # 276-1148 SKU # 40293 13329 Full Wave Bridge rectifier
Heck I did it.
There are four terminals or leads.
The two labeled/marked “~” & “~” go to AC.
The two labeled/marked “+” & “-” (positive & negative) got to the motor(s). Switch these two with each other if you want it to run in the opposite direction.
If you like you can also add in a doulbe pole double throw switch to give you forward and reverse. Place the switch after the rectifier and reverse one set of wires to the switch, you need to have two sets of wires going to the switch from the rectifier. Hook-up the output wires from the switch to the motors. One word of caution, don’t reverse while having the engine moving.
Thanks I got it hooked up with no problem and it’s running great.
