i am about halfway through the process of building a bride, and im at the point where i have to “mash” the rail onto the ties that the kit included. can i just glue the rail down instead, and if i can can i just use the liquid cement im useing to build the bridge? thanks in advance!!![:D]
What brand of bridge are you assembling? On some of them, the rail can be slid into place from the end instead of being glued.
The brand is central valley, the brige is the 150’ Pratt Truss Bridge.

I just finished that bridge. It looks pretty good. As to mashing ties over the rails, I was hesitant, but filed a small punch flat with a little rounding on the edges and had at it. It worked better than I would have thought. I messed up about 1 in 5 and it holds just fine and looks better than I would have thought. I suggest you give it a try. I did exactly as the directions suggested and learned the technique as I went. If I can do it any one can. I learned that too easy can be corrected better than too hard. Good luck .
