British Style Buildings For Lionel Thomas Set??

My wife and I bought a Lionel Thomas set for our grandchildren that will be part of a yearly Christmas display going forward. Anyone know of any roughly O scale buildings that are British in architecture available here in the US? I know I could get O scale buildings from the UK, but that’s a bit of a hassle. I’d be interested in a station, water tank and standpipe, pedestrian overbridge and a loco shed to start out with.

Some of the Dept 56 stuff would look good I think, but I don’t think they have the accessories you want.

Dept. 56 has the Dickens Village buildings

Very collectible too.

Not sure who the manufacturer is but normally this time of year Joann’s Fabric carries a line that is of a somewhat older period, the rural style w/thatch roofs etc.

Try a few English sites. They used to have a series of card buildings, pretty easy to build and they look very good called SuperQuick however they were HO which was what I was into then I dont know if they are available in O but I’d think there are some such available. I’ll take a look for you, I am trying to do the same but I design and build my own. I use card a lot, you might be able to use one of those printer based systems and then simply choose buildings that can be easily adapted?

Indeed, there are a lot of, relatively cheap cardboard buildings which are not that expensive to ship available in the UK. Be sure to buy the ones with thick cardboard or build the cheaper ones around balsa substructures, since those are made from paper.

Thanks for everyone’s help.
