i have a mikado i bought in june of this year. does not have very much run time on it. and now the chuff sounds have stopped working. all others sounds work great. do you know anything?

While I confess I don’t know much about the sound mechanism (is there a certain CV that controls the chuff?), I have had excellent experience with BLI’s repair services. Hit their website and try their Forum first, and if that doesn’t help send an email to their service group. Often they will offer to send you the problem part, or if not, you can send in your loco for fixing. That process is typically a 4-6 week one, however.

right now i am running the dc master. my DCC system has been packed away while i was at school in sacromento. so if there is a way to shut off the Chuff using DC i have no idea how i did that… but thank you i will hit up there web site. [:)]
