Broadway limited AC 6000

I am sending my new engine back to broadway limited. The engine was one with no sound but was dcc ready. I put a decoder in it and the circuit breaker on my digitrax sytem was tripping. The lights worked but it wouldn’t move. It worked in dc mode just fine except that the cab was reversed from the direction it was going. Has anyone had this problem and how is broadways customer service.

Call them up, they should be able to help you out. Sounds almost like P2K syndrome, sure there’s a DCC 8-pin socket bt oh, we forgot to tell you, you have to do A, B, and C when plugging a decoder in.

If it ran alright before you installed the decoder then I would check my wiring to the decoder. I have installed a few decoders and thought I had them wired right, then when I go back to double check I sometimes find a wire that had hooked up wrong! Sometimes the factory miswires the plug .The point is that if the problem is in your wiring then BLI probably won’t fix it. Good luck![:)] Jim

It already had the receptical and i just plugged a decoder in. I thought it might be the decoder but I tried another one and the same thing happened. The instructions that came with it were for models that already had dcc and sound. I called them and they told me to send it in. Do you think they will fix it …or replace it. Never delt with them before.

I bought one of the first AC 6000’s when they came out . A couple of small parts were missing and I had no problem getting replacements. I have several BLI engines and have had no problems but I have heard from others who have. I don’t think you will have any trouble getting it fixed. Jim

From what others have said, and what I have had in my expeirence, BLI has one of the best customer service departments of any other maker. I have been very happy. You should be fine!

I’ve never actually sent a loco in to BLI, but they have been extremely helpful via email when I am doing the fixes myself. I think they will be able to give you some help.
