Finally got to see and hear a Broadway Class “A” run today, and I was very impressed! [:D]Has anyone tried theirs out to see how it will pull? I am curious because until my garage is built mine will have to stay in it’s box! [V]Thanks
I had no problem with 40 cars on level track with mine. I will have to lay more to see how much more it can pull. The rumor is over 113!
Help, BWL, N&W Class J, sound comes on , loco moved about 5 inches then stoped, tryed working the connection but no luck[?][?]
At one of the train shows, BLI demo ran a hundred or so hoppers with no problems as you stated as a rumor. It was in MR showing the A and the train. I would think it might handle a few more on level for sure.
The statement below is a review of the BLI N&W A when it came out.
The 2-6-6-4 is comparable to its predecessor, the 4-6-4, and has some improvements:
The whistle is now playable which gives the operator the ability to play short or long notes or in between to better mimic realistic operations.
The Load Compensation has been improved.
This loco is heavy and really pulls. We tested it with 2 DRY CMX cleaning cars up a 4% grade with no problem. Three good heavy diesels would be required to do the same job! The die cast loco chassis is already pocketed for a smoke unit if you wi***o install one. A Seuthe #5 will fit and has to be wired to track pickup.
Special LEDS provide the directional lighting. These LEDS look like incandescent bulbs rather than the hot, blu-white of other white LEDS!
Have you done a reset ?

New at DCC, figured it was a decorder problem, but it was’nt, one of the drive rods was binding, should have checked that first aftyer being in model railroading for 35 years, should have known better. souns like you have addressed the wrong loco. Your loco has an address, and is clearly getting power (sounds work0, so if it won’t move, chances are that you have not addressed it properly. To get 501 to move (or 03 if it is brand spanking new from the factory), you must dial that on your throttle.
