I feel the review comments sum up my thoughts about BLI as well. They offer good products with great features at a very competitive price. Consistant quality control and presentation can be improved through improved plastic mold engraving and QC inspection but the online price discounts are hard to beat and you get sound to boot. It is very easy to add a DCC decoder of your choice to Bue Line engines. I have found that on my BLI models, I tend to need to fiddle with the mechanicals to get them to run their best, but I like the rugged drive train over all. I prefer to pay the extra money for the “Paragone 2” engines due to industry best features and improved value including better production implementation and materials used to enhance performance and presentation of the models. I give 5 stars for value and 4 stars for Quality Control. Please note to use “PLASTIC COMPATABLE” lube on gears etc. and not “TOO MUCH” or you will have both mechaical and elecrical problems with your engines. A tiny drop gose a long way.
