Broadway Limited Imports’ HO California Zephyr passenger train is built to run
It is great train and runs well even in 18 inches curves. The ligthing is excelent, very bright, operates flawless and the cars have a suberb interiors and underframe. I wish for other famous trains form Broadway Limited!
Bought the original set several years ago and have found them to be poor performers with great looks. Typically run longer car/train consist at the club, which is modular but smooth with Peco #5 or greater points. The first test run was a complete failure with the consist making it about 5 to 8 feet before the first derailment. After some wheel alignment and tweaking they run slightly better and I mean slightly. Contacted BLI and were given some things to try. After taking trucks off filing the wedge on the kingpin that mounts the trucks (terrible design compared to Walthers) to give more movement still bad. BLI stated I could send back but hate the thought of more shipping and having the cars torn apart becoming ill fitting on the tops and possible other issues. Great looking display a joke for runners!
