Excellent review, good work by the team.

I have one and agree, it is a nice model and a bargain for the money.

Looks nice I like the smooth low speed start feature

Been looking for a good steam loco with pulling power as yours looks to do the job.Only thing being is the price is a little out of range.

i wood love to have one of them it looks like a good loco to use in my systom but is a lill out of my price range.maby if its still around in 6mo. i can save up the money to get one.i sure hope so

Pulls like the dickens. Better than my brass Tenshodo 2-6-8-0. which got stuck with 19 loaded coal hopper cars up an approx 2% grade, but was made with drivers slipping by the 2-10-2. Only concern is the difficulty of installing the snow plow with a working Kadee coupler. It was a challange to get the original pilot off and figure out how to get the snow plow one on but I did it. Had to do some precise trimming of the coupler box. Some specific Kadee number might be easier than the one I used but there was no instruction or suggestion in the manufacturers literature that was in the box. Also at $450, a complete PRINTED DCC manual in the box would be a nice touch. What can it cost BLI, 50 cents ?

Excellent model, well worth the wait.

I am new to the hobby and have one Broadway Limited loco. I was looking for information on this model. It was a good review but I would like to have seen some long term quality review of Broadway Limited products or links to other reviews.

I’d love to be able to run steam engines on my layout in progress, but it’s a modern era freelanced system. I’ve
seen an awful lot of steamers I would’nt mind having,
but as others have earlier stated, the prices are just too
high at this time, especially for those of us who’ve lost
our jobs due to the economy. I have owned steam engines
in the past, but the ones produced today are just much
better in several aspects, including, but not limited to,
the drivelines, paint applications and lettering, and DCC
applications with sound.

Beautiful model, my first in brass, cost is a bit eyewatering but ultimately worth it

How much of the locomotiv is brass?

Model looks great and because it had the optional snow plow I bought one that I plan to run soon. However, before the Challenger and Big Boy, the UP type, the 4-12-2, was the hot freight hauler on the UP, not the 2-10-2 (although there were more TTTs than UP types). We will hear more about that since MTH has announced the 4-12-2 for April. What a great time to be an HO steam enthusiast, especially UP steam! Printed manuals cost more than suggested in the short print runs used in model trains; I’m happy with a good PDF download. The PDF file can also be easily updated as necessary. Now, if only we can get more SP steamers…

I own several Broadway Limited engines and cars. I love all of them and the engines are great pullers compared to other nice models I own. The passenger cars are beautiful and worth every penny relative to others on the market. This steamer is no exception with it’s detail and function. The details are excellent and appear to be sturdy from what I can tell. $450.00 is a reasonabe price for the quality and performance BLI offers. MTH has nice models also but they are more costly. I don’t know how they pull but they are feature rich with sturdy details barrowed from their “O” guage products (lots of metal).

Nice for those who model the UP, however 2-10-2’s ran in Vermont also. I wonder why the Manufacturers never thing of other railroads when they offer these larger locomotives. As for BLI, I own several of their locomotives and they are all excellent! I would expect no less from this model.

I have just ordered one and can hardly wait for it to be delivered. Pricing in Germany seems to be ok when compared to Maerklin and Co prices. This will be my first US prototype model as I move into US model railroading (freelance on the basis of UP). European prototype modelling has just got too expensive unless you go for the cheapish looking modern electric locos that all look alike.

I have one in transit from BLI…looking forward to it…Thanks

I just got my ttt about two weeks ago and it is one of the best models i own ,very good sound and good puller and it will run slow ,and keep pulling at speed step 1 or 2 all day.If bli would only add all the lights they and make them light up look out mth.

Just got my TTT-6 and for under $300 to boot. Very nice overall with great detail and very smooth operation. Wish the number boards would light up as well as the front lanterns, but can’t have everything all the time. Highly recommended!

It’s a FANTASTIC model!! Excellent detail, a very heavy chassis means a GREAT puller, and the DCC performance is impressive. About the cost, one (or two) months ago, Factory Direct was offering them for, I think, about 250.00 Can’t beat that. About the only good thing of this recession.
