I am waiting for the two I ordered.
Anxious to operate both.

Of course I must agree.

Big improvement from previous issue of same engine. I especially like the visibility of the ditch lights. And the other new features are great. Wish they would do an ES44DC next.

I just recieved my unit in CP markings and the unit is awsome all the auto features are set for CP sounds and are authentic.I will be trying the macro sounds as soon as I change the settings .

I received mine a week ago and wow what a joy! Canadian Pacific 9802
Pros: Very detailed, Smooth, ditch lights ++, easy to operate, sound
Cons: The price
But we only live once so go for it!

I have seen the new BLI locomotives at Trainfest 08’. The paragon sound system in this locomotive was like the sound system that you would hear in a three rail locomotive selling for up to twice as much as an HO engine.
Dollar for dollar Blue Line products are worth their weight in gold. They are great runner along with great pullers. I ran three BLI locomotives with over 100 loaded coal hoppers weighting 5 pounds on the drawbars of these locomotives and it pulled it up a 2% helix without having a problem.
BLI have proven to be worth while and will last a lifetime if proper maintenance is performed.
Thanks Bob for making these great products.

This is a little tooooooooooooooo modern for me. I will probably never go to DCC. I wonder if this type of electronic tricks will be available for regular old DC?

AS OF NOW ,I NOT GOTTEN ONE BUT THINKING ON GETTING ONE, I LIKE WHAT I SAW IN THE REVIEW. I HAVE 2 OTHER BLI ONE A BLUE LINE AC 6000 AND ONE OF THE FIRST AC 6000 THAT CAME OUT. BOTH HAVE SOUNDI’M SURE THAT I WILL GET ONE

exelent product, good sound exept the bell…
perfect details.
EXELENT !

I too must agree. But isn’t that what we expect for a company like BLI ! !

I would like to see them make a DC version that is upgradeable via a plug-in wiring harness. Not too hot on sound as of yet.

Just recieved one. I like SP, but I like modern power too, so this is a real treat, whether the SP road name is completely accurate/appropriate or not!

I have 2 of these and both are excellent runners with great sound. I too have not tried the macro sounds yet or consisiting them. I hope they expand with some other SP models.

Its a great engine. It sounds good - the bell is odd though, and I believe its default factory setting for sound level is way to high. Overall the model is well made and the details are nicely done. However, if Atlas would get around to making the more modern locos in their Gold Series with QSI sound - I would buy them over this BLI Paragon 2 product. Penny for penny Atlas Gold with QSI is better than BLI Paragon 2. That being said, AC6600s actually modeled is a really nice thing for those of us who love modern era power.

I now have 6 BLI diesels and a paragon2 UP6000 on order that should be here this week. Can’t wait to set her trackside after reading the reviews! I’ve been impressed so far with the sound and operation from these locos. No more non sound or dcc locos for me. I’ve a friend whom has not changed over to dcc or sound, but he can’t believe how great and what they ad to a layout. next thing is some creasote, oil, diesel fuel smell. Just alittle dab will do ya!

I bought one CSX 6000 Paragon 2 and it have a great performance.
