Bronx in a basement

VERY nicely done! A real treat to watch and listen too! Nice music choic. Keep up the great work!

Very Inpsiring!

OUTSTANDING…HOORAH

Very nice layout with great detail

Inspirational!

Wonderful realism! Would love to see this on the pages of MRR.

Nicely done Frank. The level of detail indicates how much effort when into this layout.

Great video Frank! As I was watching, I pictured myself back there. I loved all the detail as I remembered them as a kid growing up in the Wakefield section of the Bronx from 1944 to 1965.

took forever to download but it was worth it. Who wrote the music? It sounds like Tangerine Dream. Who says you need DCC sound?

WOW!! Amazing how you have all the buildings just packed in, street scenes. Thumbs up!

Fantastic

I found this video captivating. Even though the video had a constant stop action to it the effect seemed to accurately match the haunting music track. Frank has caught the same sense of accuracy that Pelle Soeborg has achieved. Knowing what the proper percentage of railroad to scenery and vignettes is. Well done Frank!

Is it just me or are the wheelstops on the pier facing backwards?

Frank’s layout sure does pack a lot of detail. I surmise that a lot of his structures are inexpensive styrene/resin kits, a lot of which I recognize. i really like the way he blends them together to form the different structures themselves. He has truly achieved his goal. If someday my scenery looks half as good as his, I’ll be very pleased. So, MR staff, when will we see Franks layout between the pages? PS an outstanding job of photography and editing!

Very, very nice. I had never imagined the Bronx to be that hilly but, never having been there, I’ll take your word for it. (You might not believe the hill where my boyhood home was located either.)

Frank you did a great job, trains were to clean for the area. Really enjoyed the buildings.

I’m typically not a fan of background music in model railroading videos. I’m always screaming, “I want to hear the sounds of the trains, turn the music off!”. Not this time!! This video was truly enthralling. So relaxing and picturesque. Excellent job.

Hope to see this in MR some day. From Hunt’s Point to University Heights, this was very much the Bronx I remember!
