Buddcar "floor plans"

I am interested to see nonstandard “floor plans” for different types of Budd RDC’s. Examples that come to mind:

  • RDC-1 on Canadian National Railways with a snack counter, or on British Columbia Railway with a small pantry,

  • RDC-2 on Western Pacific Railroad with different seats in the forward and rear coach sections, respectively, or on Baltimore & Ohio Railroad with a dining section,

  • RDC-3 on Great Northern Railway with a shorter coach section with five instead of six windows, or on Duluth, Winnipeg & Pacific Raiway with a shorter coach section with four instead of six windows, or on British Columbia Railway with no RPO section, and a galley,

  • RDC-4 on Minneapolis & St. Louis Railway with a passenger section and standard stepwells in one end,

Can anyone help? /BF

I believe there have been a handful of books and magazine articles. Check the TRAINS and other magazine indices plus google, bing or whatever you do, for the books. Your libraian should be able to help.

Try www.budd-rdc.org . Everything you wanted to know about said cars.
