Buffalo Central Terminal to open for annual railroad show
Whenever I pass Buffalo Central Terminal on the Lake Shore Limited I wonder when, if ever, the 18 year old restoration effort will extend to cleaning up the scrapyard that occupies the former station platform area.
It sure would be nice to see passenger service to this station.
In response to the first comment below, the Central Terminal Restoration Corp. only owns the former main station building and office tower. They do NOT own the now-abandoned passenger concourse, the platforms and the surrounding former passenger track area. Interestingly, Amtrak does still own the platform area and they lease it out to a local company for the storage of construction equipment.
