Building a Bridge over the Falls

I’ve been slowly adding a hiking trail to my N Scale layout. The trail runs from track level, up the mountain to an overlook at the top of the waterfall. I dubbed the waterfall “Pinnacle Falls.” The trail had to cross a river and decided to build a suspension bridge similar to one that exists at Raven Cliff Falls.

The entire bridge is constructed of Plastruct Styrene except for the deck surface, which is laser-cut wood. I painted the towers and deck Floquil “Rail Brown.” The Cables are painted Polyscale Penn Central Green."

I wasn’t trying to create an exact replica of the prototype, but rather capture the flavor of it. What do you guys think?

Nice job. Is that for your museum layout? We really need to get over there and see it. Great area to hike too.

Is that a viewing platform just partial in view the trail is heading towards?

Yes it is. That’s the trail’s ultimate destination. Quite a hike too.
