Looking forward to seeing the layout come to life.
Great Job David! Very nice introduction for the next project!
I’m looking forward seeing this layout. I enjoy adapting parts and/or ideas from layouts of fellow model railroaders to add interesting sections for my own layout. There are so many people with great ideas to be shared on a project such as this and that makes it very nice to see and enjoy.

Good thing I just renewed my subscription. I have been very excited about the last few project layouts MR has done, starting with the Beer Line, (still one of the most innovative designs I have ever seen) I commend you and all of the MR staff who are not afraid to take layout design to the next level and think outside the box. Looking forward to this new project, and keep up the good designs.
Great introduction. I have been stuck trying to build and industry against a wall and have it look right. Plan to use DPM & Walthers N scale modular kits. Looking forward to getting unstuck !!
Very Nice,Can,t Wait,Looks Great!
Always look forard to the project layouts. Hope to start a small layout this winter.
This was great. I am looking forward to this. should have some great ideas
Looking forward to it. By the way, why not have a “Name That Town” contest, getting ideas from readers?
I would suggest “Westcott”, named for Linn Westcott, MR editor for many years. He was editor during my teenage years and was very influential in the hobby.
Absolutely a wonderful idea. Looking forward to future video presentations and the ‘Jan, 2011’ issue of MR.
This great keep up the good work.
Your project layouts are very informative. I’m building a version of this year’s project using Kato Unitrack and it wouldn’t have been possible with all your tips and suggestions.
Great work team!
Great intro and I will be looking forward to further videos as it is built.
Another great video and have a great day.
This is going to be so cool!!! Can’t wait to see all the articles and films!!!
As always, your presentations are direct, informative, and well scripted…as well as filmed beautifully. This goes for all you folks…job well done!!
My wife and I were recently in Waukesha and toured your offices there. We so enjoyed talking with Jim Hediger and his taking us around. Even my wife was excited by the historical information and pictures we were shown. We especially found the layouts and the information given on how they were done. I am an N scale modeler and gained many useful tools and the knowledge to use here at home.
Thanks David im looking forward to it, im also now kindove planning a similar town on my layout.
It has been thirty-five years since my railroad cars have seen daylight. What a delight to see all the advances that have taken place over the years. I have already purchased six new DCC steam locomotives and have found Model Railroader Magazine full of new ideas for building my new pike. This latest preview has really peaked my interest. Your great articles are deeply appreciated. Keep up the great work!
Interesting concept. I am going to take down my 10 X 30 O guage layout after the first of the year and build another one. I’ve learned a lot by building this one (My first since the '50s) and hope to glean some ideas from your new endevor.
very interesting
