Who are your favorite building kit manufacturers?

Just about any manufacturer that will take a chance on making inexpensive plastic kits for O scale. Odd-d
I really enjoyed building a korber Electric Light and Power. Used someone’s advise from here on the forum about painting the inside of the sindows with back and orange spray paint, so it looks great when it’s lit.
Some of the smaller hard plastic stuff, just seemed too time consuming for the cost and results. This in light of the fact that lionel built-ups can be had for under $20.

For more realistic buildings, I like the Walthers Cornerstone series. For the nostalgic, toy-train look, I like Plasticville, particularly the older stuff.
Of the items currently in production, AMERITOWNE makes very nice yet inexpensive kits but requires painting. For the money and the non-artistically talented, MTH makes some very nice buildings. Yes Plasticville will always be there and seems to remain fairly affordable.
