Building Sheets

Hello,

I would like to try to scratch-build a few buildings on my layout with plastic building sheets but I have no idea where to buy them. If anyone knows where I can get these, please let me know, because google has been no help.

Thanks,

Alec

Do you mean these?

Many hobby suppliers carry them.

I have seen the evergreen website, but they don’t make brick sheets. which I is what I need. I do appreciate the reply though!

Thanks,

Alec

OK let me try again:

Plastruct item 91611, HO Scale Brick sheets come two to a package and measure 6.75 x 11.75 inches.

It would help if you tell people what scale you’re working in.

I don’t understand why Google has been no help; I typed ‘HO brick sheets’ into Google and all sorts of sites show up that have them.

Hi Alec!

If nobody has said it already - Welcome to the forums![#welcome]

Walthers offers really well detailed sheets in HO scale. They are thick enough to be self supporting:

Unfortunately they are on backorder right now.

Plastruct offers brick sheets as well. They are slightly less defined than the Walthers product but they are thinner which makes them easier to cut, but they will require some sort of backing for support:

There are other suppliers on the Walthers site which I have not dealt with. The two listed above I have used and been very pleased with.

P.S. Just to reinforce a previous poster’s message - it really helps if you note the scale you are working in.

DPM Modular sections are another option. This building is made with DPM parts:

I also use the Walthers brick sheets. (I work in HO scale.) The brick pattern is it bit shallower than that in the DPMs, but not enough to notice. After painting and mortaring the brick, the difference is hardly noticeable, so you might want to combine the the two products. DPM gives you a nice, quick way to put in arches, doorways and windows, while the brick sheet is much less expensive on a per-square-inch basis.
