Building the HO scale Bay Junction layout
I just watched the whole series and quite enjoyed all the episodes. A lot of useable information on various techniques and procedures. thanks!
I Love it!!!
Found this series through “User submitted videos”. Watched them all and learned a lot. Well worth the viewing time!
It would be cool if the MR&T track plan was updated to show this project and other projects that have changed the layout like the mining branch.
I would like to see more of the MR&T Layout. How about a tour of the Layout
This will be another great project layout. I am looking forward to each installment and will be able to use many of your ideas on my own layout.
This is going to be a project well worth following and it will be interesting to follow along to see all the different ideas and techniques that you will be incorporating into the building of the project. It will also be very interesting to read about the project in future issues of Model Railroader Magazine and at the same time be able to see it actually being built in the videos that you will be making. Looking forward to each and every installment.
I am very much looking forward to following this project and will gain lots of ideas from it to commence my own project.
I would like to installl your backbroounds inmy computer without distorting them but none of them are on in16 by 9 format that is used in today’s computer screens.can you suggest suggest how it can be done without distorting the picture?
All this progress remember me when I was doing the same in my layout a few years ago. There was 2 months of mess and 1 of pleasure. It was great.
I am enjoying this video log of the new layout. I wish I had the space that you folks have to work in.That is the advantage of being able to work/play in your job. Keep the flame alive.
Enjoying this immensely! I’ve had a lifelong interest in model railroading and dream of building a layout but I have never yet done so. I just need something to get me started and maybe this is it. The video instalments are a great idea. I look forward to every one.
Even though this layout is “too small,” I’m enjoying the series. Planning and thinking ahead are good for all size model railroads. I’m skipping quickly through the benchwork sections, as I lay my track outside in the dirt!
Looking forward to the detailing and building section. I built a culvert several years ago from four sections of 1.5 inch pvc pipe each about ten inches long. It looks liike concrete and carries real water during the wet season!
wished you guys could have weathered some of the bldg’s -----you went an rushed the photo shoot – sorry but that stark white bldg just doesent look right ???
Hi, Ira from New York:
In response to reader feedback like yours, we’ve started supplying our free monthly computer wallpaper in 16x9 format, as well as 4x3 and 16x10. Thanks for reading, and happy railroading!
Awesome job guys…keep up the great work.
The greatest value of this article to me, is seeing what has been written put into logical steps of physical action. It is also great to listen to the various minor problems encountered and how these have been overcome.I look forward eagerly to future editions of M.R.where your articles become animated and so meaningful.Keep up the great work.
To MICHAEL ROBERTS from ARIZONA : Not everything has to be weathered. Around where I live, active companies in the food industry keep their buildings spotless, inside and out. This means having a crew wash the outside of the building once a month. It promotes to the general public that the company believes in keeping their surrounds clean and their food product safe to eat.
I have to say the same thing out here in the land of sunshine things are a lot cleaner. I have done the inda ink wash etc. and it’s too much. I Light wash with some sand color and a little dusting with the airbrush do wonders.
