We have added a complete line of hi and low res video to our extensive line of hand laid track documentation.
These videos highlight several steps in building turnouts using fixtures, detailed explanation of soldering techniques, painting, testing turnouts for DCC compatibility and a brief explanation of how a turnout frog functions.
There is lots of useful information here for anyone considering hand laying their own trackwork, regardless of the method used.
COOL!! [tup] Thanks for the info, Tim! [:D] I’m DEFINITELY going to bookmark this! (Gonna be tough with dial-up though…[sigh])

P.S. Oooo! - What’s this?!? Just noticed that you broke the “Building Turnouts Using Fast Tracks Assembly Fixtures” video down into smaller downloadable segments. Nice! Now THERE’s some foresight!..[tup] [tup] Thanks again!!!
Thanks again or your efforts to make that available to us. [:)] Someday I am hopig I will be able to handlay track on my layout. I LOVE the look of handlaid track! [tup] (Case in point: John Peterson’s O-scale layout in MR’s issue of 2006 Great Model Railroads, pgs. 49 - 57)
Tim, I have visited your web site in the past and I like what I see. It looks like you put out a VERY nice product. I will definitely keep you in mind when and if I get to that point.
