I have a storehouse building on square wooden posts. In the real world these are encased in cement. How do I model that?
First off, [#welcome] to the forum!
Probably the easiest way is with some sheet styrene painted in a concrete color. You can cut it to size and glue it to the posts.

As far as the cement. Maybe, maybe not. Depends on the age and location. North or South states. If its done in the 40’s or earlier it was not that uncommon to just sink post in the ground. If its a newer structure or you just want the look, the wood post would be either encased in concrete or standing on a tapered concrete pier. If you go closer to modern times the wood would sit on a round concrete pier.
I do seem to recall seeing plastruct or some simalar company that makes these little concrete structures to place the wood on top of.
