Built Up Building Manufacturers?

Does anyone know of some good companies/places to purchase pre-built (built-up) n scale structures? I am looking for some to complete my layout and do not have the time or skills to build authentic looking kits.

As always any suggestions are greatly appreciated, and I will hopefully be posting photos of my new layout soon!

Woodland Scenics

Gidday, Haven’t dealt with this company but plenty of choice here…

Hope this helps.

Cheers, the Bear.

May I make a suggestion? When you order your built-up structures, get one or two kits as well. I’d suggest DPM or City Classics. Most of these are simple, some little more than 4 walls and a roof.

Don’t worry about time to build them. This isn’t a race. I start one of these simple kits by masking the adjoining edges with blue painters’ tape, because I don’t want paint there, and then I use a cheap rattle-can of spray paint. That might be all I do for a while, and it might be a week before I get to a thin paint wash to fill in the mortar lines between the bricks, or some acrylic craft paint on the window sills. Sometimes, it takes me a month or more to put together a 4-walls-and-a-roof kit.

None of us is born with modeling skills, either. As a life-long left-brained geek, I was surprised how “artistic” I became once I started modeling.

Here is some places:

also here is a list of built up structures:

Both suppliers are well respected and good to deal with.

You might look at http://www.finishedmodels.com/nscalefinishedstructures.aspx fairly decent detailed castings

Also, http://www.summit-customcuts.com/homeproducts/buildingsnscale.html limited contemporary service type buildings - they send to a modeler so you’ll have to ask about price

If you are careful, eBay often has built-up buildings listed.

Walthers and Woodland Scenics have wonderful built up buildings.

But with everything there is always a catch. The buildings aren’t often mode the same between manufacturers. The textures or colors might be different. So what might look like a really good building, might look out of place next to another building made by someone else. For example, Walthers always manages to fill in their bricklines perfectly with mortar. My models however lack in this area. So there’s a big difference when you put them side by side.
