Been working on modifying a Bachmann 4-6-0 to resemble Bullfrog Goldfield #12. It consists of a re-wired Bachmann Vanderbilt tender attached to a Bachmann 63 inch driver chassis with the superstructure coming from the Bachmann low boiler 4-6-0. The Vanderbilt tender is designed to run behind their 2-8-0 and hooking it up the the 4-6-0 leads to a dead short. It has a Loksound Decoder and speaker inside the tender, which wasn’t that easy to put inside there. For those that are not familiar with completely obscure pre-WW1 Nevada mining railroads the Bullfrog Goldfield RR ran from Goldfield to Rhyolite, Nevada. Now I have an engine to pull my Alkali Express.
