Their next convention is this September in Galesburg. There are going to be yard tours as well as the usual old timers roundtable, slide night, a banquet, swap meet, clinics, visits to the museum, etc. And the railfanning is always great in Galesburg -(and in a year or two the national railroad hall of fame should be up and running).
So I am thinking of going. But it is a four hour drive. And my usual CBQ railfan buddy can’t go along this year so now the room gets a little pricier. Talk me into it somebody …
