Busiest Tourist Railroad?

The narrow gauge White Pass & Yukon carries tourists on day trips from Skagway, Alaska, through British Columbia to Carcross in the Canadian Yukon. It is North America’s busiest tourist railroad, with more than 430,000 annual riders.

Really? I would have bet on Strasburg!

Well down here at the North Shore Scenic, we get roughly 10 million riders a month, so about 50 million riders a year.

Yea, I think we pretty much won.

uh, BS on you. I doubt your railroad draws twice your state’s population every month and 12 times the New York Yankees attendence last year in a season. Or were you trying to make a joke?

You didn’t read his tag line: I am very sarcastic…take everything I say with a grain of salt, and maybe an Advil

sarcasm is a tricky one over the internet

Isn’t that like 1/6 the population of the whole country? Wow you guys do more bussiness then Amtrak.[(-D]

Well what can I say? We are pretty succesful I must say.[:-^][(-D][(-D]

In all seriousness,

I would think it would be the Cumres and Toltec or the White Pass.

What about the Durango & Silverton?

Great Smoky Mountain RR is often ranked high for passenger volume…

So is the Grand Canyon RR…
