Buying online books covering MRR

Hello,

On my quest for information, I have come acrros some great tips and Ideas. I have ordered the “Bible” Realistic Track planning for Operations by John Armstrong, and continure to absorb every bit of info I come across.

I just stumbled across the online books that the Model railroading Mag has on thier website. Im interested in doing a Logging theme and they have a book deticated to it. http://store.yahoo.com/kalmbachcatalog/mrpdf003.html

Now before I unload 16 bucks on a PDF file I ws wondering if anyone has had experience with there online products and if its worth the $$$

Im also looking for a deticated forum on Logging and mining Model railroads, as well as a forum that covers scratch building. Best Ive found so far is http://www.2guyzandsumtrains.com/Forums.html

Ive picked up alot of usefull tips from there, as well as http://www.all-model-railroading.co.uk/amr/index.htm but I want more if its out there.

So in closeing, should I grab the PDF file for 16 bucks? And who knows of some nice websites or Forums that are specific to Logging/Mineing and Scratch building MRRs.

Thanks
