Buying your first model train set, part 2: Components

After reading several of your articles and doing a “search” I am wondering where can I find your “Power pack roundup” listed in Buying your first model train set, part 2: Components ?

Good refresher articles, since I haven’t had s layout since 1986.

this is my second table model railroad, both are in HO gauge, i have lots of fun and now with more experience the second one will be more a challenge, more realistic, it is a great way to relax and stay indoors when the weather is cold or rainy or snowy, just take your time and enjoy every moment you spend,

With the price of DCC and DCC equipped locomotives from Bachmann - there’s really no reason to stick to DC as a first starter set anymore. I have a 7 year old nephew and I got him a Prodigy Express, 2 Bachmann DCC diesels, and some EZ Track for the same price as some of the big DC sets. He’s having a blast running two separate engines. If a 7 year old can operate DCC and program his locomotives, anyone can. :^) And I think if you start out in DCC, the experience is a lot more fun because you can run multiple engines even on a small setup without any difficulty. Sure, DC can do that too, but its not an experience you want to go through on your first layout. :^)

Where is part 3 of this series??? Link please
